2026 Family Conference
Registration for our Family Conference is now open! Please join us in Washington, D.C., July 31-August 1 as we connect with and learn from other BBS families, hear from leading experts about cutting edge research on BBS, and ask questions of doctors and specialists who have experience treating many people with BBS.
The BBS Foundation secured a sponsorship from Rhythm that enabled us to keep the cost of attending the Family Conference essentially unchanged from 2024. Still, putting on an event is not cheap, and costs can add up for people and families with a lot of other challenges. Thankfully, A Race Against Blindness committed funding to make this year’s BBS Foundation Family Conference the most affordable ever. A Race Against Blindness will reimburse every BBS family for the costs of registration and for one night at the YoursTruly hotel. Attendees will receive the reimbursement in the form of a pre-paid gift card upon check-in at the conference. (Note, registrations and hotel reservations will need to be paid in advance, with reimbursement at the conference.)

We chose Washington, D.C. because it is a relatively easy place to fly into from most cities in the U.S. and Canada and because it is easily accessible via 3 major airports and public transportation. The timing of our conference also overlaps with a major cilia science conference that will bring leading researchers and experts together.
CONFERENCE DETAILS:
Accommodations: The hotel for the conference is the Yours Truly DC. We have secured a discounted rate of $171/night. To book rooms, call 202-835-0100 and ask for the BBS Foundation Conference rate or book online HERE. All events will take place at the hotel.
Registration/Fees: We've worked hard to keep registration fees similar to our 2024 conference. Registration fees are as follows: $100 for the 1st adult, $75 for additional adults, and $50 for those under 18. Your registration fee includes attendance at all sessions, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Friday, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday. To register for the conference, please click HERE.
